The loving and much loved husband of Shiela, father of Nicola and Richard. Former engineer with Rolls Royce. His funeral has taken place. One of life’s great characters and a Rolls-Royce legend. Time spent with Derek was enlightening, amusing and above all brilliant. Sad loss of ‘a top bloke.’

Derek was the absolute salt of the earth, a tremendous bloke and great colleague. His passing has floored me. At rest now with his true soul mate Sheila. Huge condolences to his family.
